Short Week

I would be posting tomorrow, but since we have a short week, and I'm sure I'll have way too much to do tomorrow afternoon, I'll post today. This past week has been very good. I have gotten a lot of wedding things settled and my eating habits have not been running wild (unlike last weekend). My friend Kristen and I went out to eat Friday night and I had a salad! It was actually a VERY good salad, and I have to go back and have another sometime soon. It was at a little Italian restaurant in a town close to where I teach. They have amazing bread also!

Anyway, I have ordered the wedding favors, which I'm so happy about. I can't wait to see how they turn out! Also, I ordered some matching return labels for the invitations. Sounds pathetic, I know, but this was the highlight of my day yesterday. I got them totally free, minus the $3 for shipping. It was a great bargain. I love bargains/sales/anything that comes free! I can't pass up a great deal.

This saving money thing has really pumped me up about garage sale season. My mom and I are so ready for this spring/summer. We get up at 6am on Saturday to get the best deals. We strategically map out our route the night before, and go to the best sounding ones first. My mom used to drag me as a child, and I would be so embarrassed to be seen at a garage sale buying 2nd hand things. Now that I have grown up, it's really something we can do together, and save money at the same time. She would call it bonding, but that's just to touchy-feely a word for me. lol. Over the past few years, I have really come to know the value of a dollar, and I'm all about saving them.

Now on to the biggest loser race. Kristen and I finally came in last this week. However, I did lose 3 lbs (one of those that was gained back last week). Slowly, but surely, I'm getting there!

Tuesday really crept up on me this week, since we had a long weekend. Also, since it was Valentine's day, and that meant bad things for the scale. I'm a chocoholic. Typing it is the first step to recovery, right?

Today I weighed in a +1.

Ugh.

Another good week!

Another week, another 2.5 lbs lost! WooHoo!

And I seriously thought I was going to gain this past week, with me going home and all. Also, not to mention all the cookies I ate! This whole watching what you eat, but still having a little of what you love seems to be working. So...I shall continue on the path of greatness. ha.

Also while EW and I went to my home for the weekend, we had our first pre-marriage counseling session. The Pastor was there 15 minutes just to give us an overview of the course. Then it was time to take the compatibility inventory. This is about 150 questions on stuff that might cause problems in a marriage. For example, questions on religion, what you want out of life, what you do in your free-time, how you argue, how you deal with stress, financial issues, and how you feel about family (our own, and each other's). I found taking the little scan-tron thing was really eye-opening. I really didn't think about some of the questions before. The Pastor will send in our results and then the next time we go, which is in March, he will go over what the inventory says, and what some of our weaknesses in the relationship might be. It sounds pretty cool if you ask me.

This weekend is Valentine's Day! Yes, I'm going up north to be with my Valentine. Hmm, maybe if I'm nice I can get him to wear red. LOL.

Well, I'm sitting here while I should be getting ready for the students, but today is Thursday! Only one more day till the weekend!

WOW! I can't believe it!

Seriously.

Today was weigh in 3, and I thought for sure I was going to be paying for all the junk I have eaten in the past week. This weekend, I went out with some friends and ate fast food at midnight. It tastes so good though! Anyway, I also was having major cravings the rest of the weekend, so I went ahead and pigged out. I might as well go all the way, right?
Today came and I am so deliriously happy to say that I must have done some exercising in my sleep because I lost another 3.5 lbs!!!! Total Loss: 7.5 lbs. How amazing is that!? Kristen didn't lose any, so I had to carry us. However, it was fine since we weren't the lowest percent. YAY!

But now, I'm going to get serious people! If I can eat and not exercise and still lose weight, I'm totally going to try!

Swimsuit here I come....

HA! not.

All I'll say is that I'll try. I'm not going to go overboard or anything ;)

Pre-marriage Counseling Session #1 is coming up this weekend. I'm sure I'll have something interesting to post about that. So till then....
